BioI'm a stay-at-home mother to three children under 13, two of whom are autistic. I am studying for a degree in Social Policy with the Open University and am involved in the National Autistic Society, autism education campaigns. I am interested in Diversity Politics, particularly around sexuality and disability (Michael Foucault fan!). My partner works in software development.
I have Asperger's Syndrome, a form of High Functioning Autism, which affects my social interaction and my ability to 'read' people. It also makes me very disorganised and somewhat obsessive.
With a friend, I run a couple of Yahoo support groups for Significant Others of transgendered people, called WobsMatters.
My user-pic is of Commander Susan Ivanova, one of my favourite characters from the series Babylon 5, the best TV series in history and my long-standing obsession. I also love Dr Who and Torchwood.
